Starting April 10, 2017, a section of East Lake Sammamish Trail will close as work continues on the Southeast 62nd Street extension project.
An alternate route for pedestrians is available, from where the trail passes below Interstate 90 to the area near Southeast Black Nugget Road (see closure map).
To bypass the work zone, sidewalks and bike lanes are available along east Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast. Signage will be placed onsite.
The closure will be in effect until late 2018, as crews work to extend 62nd Street to Lake Drive.
As a reminder, a section of 221st Place Southeast will close between Southeast 60th Street and 62nd Street starting April 10. The closure will continue until late 2018.
