  4. Public Hearing: Ninth Major Amendment to the Highlands Two-Party Development Agreement

    The Issaquah City Council will hold an additional public hearing at its regular meeting of Feb. 21, 2017, to take public testimony regarding a proposed amendment to the Issaquah Highlands Two Party Development Agreement to allow the transfer of development rights by Polygon Northwest for the Westridge Development project. The transfer would raise the number of residential units in the Westridge project from 265 to 365. Polygon also proposes to meet the City's affordable housing requirement by developing 25 affordable units for ownership and a five-member group home on a City-owned parcel in Issaquah Highlands.
    Anyone interested may appear at the public hearing and be heard for or against, or provide comments regarding the proposed amendment. Following the hearing, the City Council may take action.

    Potential vendors interested in participating in our Issaquah Farmers Market for the first time, or return after more than a season away, are invited to attend our 2017 jury days.

    Jurying is a chance for our farmers market managers to meet with potential vendors and review their products.

    A limited number of jury appointments are available, and will be scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

    Preparing for jury days is easy!

    1. Schedule your appointment by email or call 425-837-3311.
    2. Each applicant will be given up to 10 minutes for a product review. Please respect the time limit and plan accordingly.
    3. Please bring enough samples to show product variety, but enough to quickly set up and repackage.
    4. Complete your vendor application in advance and bring it to your jury appointment. More Details

    Take a morning to explore a haven for birds and wildlife in Issaquah. The park offers a wide assortment of birds and habitats in varied ecosystems.

    The trip involves walking approximately 2 to 3 miles. Dress appropriately (rainproof in layers; some of the trails can be muddy if wet).

    Meet just inside the main entrance. Take the first left into the large parking lot and meet at the northeast end at 8 a.m.
