North Issaquah: Road Improvements
The City of Issaquah is undertaking a series of road improvements to relieve traffic congestion in North Issaquah.

The improvements are generally bounded by East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast, Southeast 56th Street / Northwest Sammamish Road, 17th Avenue Northwest and Interstate 90.

Current Conditions
Several roads in this area are operating at — or near — capacity, which impacts the mobility of shoppers, visitors, employees and freight deliveries. In addition, commuters who travel through the area also experience significant delays, especially during rush hours.

Road upgrades could significantly help mobility and economic development in this area.
There are three separate roadway improvements included in the North Issaquah roadway network improvements:

East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast
Work is underway to widen East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast between Southeast 56th Street and Southeast Issaquah-Fall City Road (see map).

Southeast 62nd Street
Southeast 62nd Street will be
widened between East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast and 221st Place Southeast (see map).

12th Avenue Northwest and 17th Avenue Northwest / SR 900 Intersection
The project will improve the intersection of 12th Avenue Northwest and 17th Avenue Northwest / SR 900 (see map). The design, permitting and right of way acquisition is planned for 2017-18. Construction is expected to start in 2019.
