2007-10 
  • 2007: Issaquah issues report of existing conditions in Central Issaquah.
  • 2007-08: Issaquah holds several workshops and open houses to receive public input.
  • 2009: Mayor appoints Task Force to develop draft Central Issaquah Plan.
  • 2010: After dedicating 1,000 hours of work, the Task Force presents its draft plan.

2012 
  • March: A revised plan is drafted after also taking input from the Planning Policy Commission and staff. The draft environmental impact statement is issued for public comment.
  • March-September: Various committees and commissions review the draft plan and related documents.
  • June: The final environmental review is completed.
  • July: Planning Policy Commission holds final public hearings on the plan.
  • August: City Council hosts a retreat to gather more information.
  • October: Planning Policy Commission holds two public hearings and makes a recommendation to Council on the plan's related documents.
  • November: City Council reviews all documents at the committee level.
  • December: City Council approves the plan, along with associated land use code amendments and a planned action ordinance.

2013 
  • April: City Council adopts the plan's specific design and development standards. The plan is now fully adopted.
