Searching Records
There are a variety of ways to search records online, including:

Viewing Records
Many City planning and permit files can be viewed free of charge at the permit center located at 1775 12th Ave. N.W., during normal business hours, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. However, when items cannot be immediately located, are extensive in nature, or require review prior to release, a formal public records request is  needed. A call to the permit center may help determine if records are available, 425-837-3100.
(Note:  if you are looking for properties within Klahanie, Highpoint/Preston, Mirrormont, and other areas outside of the city limits you will need to contact King County directly.)

Copy Charges
In many cases City records can be provided electronically. However, when copies are produced, fees apply. Payment by check or cash. Typical prices are noted below:
  • Standard (8-1/2 x 11 or 11 x 17) sheets are 15 cents per page.
  • Plan sheets are $5 per page for requests that are able to be copied in-house.
  • Plan sheets that require off site duplication, vary in price.
  • CDs of digitized plans are $10 per disk.
