Salmon Friendly Trips
Bike to Work Day

We encourage all residents, employees, employers and visitors to try more salmon-friendly travel options, including carpool, vanpool, transit, biking, walking and teleworking whenever possible!

We chose salmon as our mascot to further educate commuters about the connection between pollution caused by transportation choices and the impact those choices have on our environmental quality of life.

Choosing a Salmon Friendly Trip creates a more sustainable environment for all of us — and we're here to help you make your choice!

Mobility Modes
We encourage options for not driving alone. You might be surprised just how easy it is to pick a Salmon Friendly Trip mode, such as bus, bike, walk, rideshare or telework.

Community Incentive Program

Salmon Friendly Trips is Issaquah's portal to regional ridematching and incentives. Find a carpool or vanpool partner, and log your trips to earn local and regional rewards.

We're offering incentives to all Issaquah residents, workers and students (age 18 and older) who participate in our trip-logging incentive program.

How do I participate?

  1. Create an online account. (A previously-created account on will work here.) You'll be asked for your home and work address.
  2. If you're creating a new account, you'll be asked to validate your email address.
  3. Find a carpool or vanpool partner match by visiting your "Ridematch" tab and selecting "Create a trip."
  4. Log your non-drive-alone trips on your Salmon Friendly Trips calendar and become eligible for the Issaquah incentives! Visit your "Rewards" tab and then click on "Incentive Programs" to see all the regional rewards for which you're eligible.

Contact us and we can help you plan your trip or find a ridematch.

Are you an employer in Issaquah? Learn more about our options!
