Utility Bill Relief During COVID-19 Emergency

The City of Issaquah is taking the following steps to provide utility bill relief during the COVID-19 emergency:

  • Water will not be disconnected for non-payment for any customer during the COVID-19 emergency.
  • Customers impacted economically by the COVID-19 emergency may apply for a flexible payment plan. Under the flexible payment plan, the City will:
    • Waive late penalties assessed starting March 2020 and for the duration of the COVID-19 emergency (penalties applied prior to March 2020 will not be waived).
    • Allow customers to pay their City utility bill over a 6-month period.

The City will review applications and provide the applicant with a written response within seven business days of receiving the application.

Pay by Mail

Mail your payment in the return envelope provided and be sure to include the remittance stub portion of the billing. To ensure proper credit to your account please include your account number on your check. Mail your payment to:

Pay in Person

From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, cash, check or money order payments are accepted at the Finance Department, located on the second floor of City Hall, 130 E. Sunset Way.

After hours, at the same location, drop off your payment at the drop slot, located just to the left of the elevator.

Online Bill Payer Payments

You may choose to pay your Issaquah utility bill through your bank’s online bill payer service. Be sure to specify your utility billing account number, which is in the following number format: XX-XXXX-XX. For example, 00-1234-00. This will ensure quick crediting of your payment once it is received in our office.

In some instances, your financial institution may send us a payment by mail. In these instances, a delay of five to seven business days may occur in the processing of your payment.

Special Senior Discounted Utility Rate

The City of Issaquah is providing financial assistance for eligible senior residents. The Special Senior Discounted Utility Rate program offers financial assistance of a 75% discount off the minimum water and sewer billings for qualifying senior residents. It also excludes you from paying the stormwater fee.
