The Administration has created a two-year work plan for 2020 and 2021 to designate and track the actions that relate to accomplishing Strategic Plan goals and providing other critical services.
As part of that work, a Capital Projects tracker has been created to provide updates to Council regarding updates to their timeline.
Each year, the City produces a work plan that reflects commitments made during the budget process and the preceding year(s).In 2020, the work plan was aligned with the City’s Strategic Plan. The Administration presented this 2020-2021 work plan to the City Council initially at the Feb. 1, 2020 City Council retreat.
Although the City Council expressed agreement for the Work Plan at that time, there have been significant modifications as the Administration has adjusted to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Phase 1 Budget Plan was added to the work plan as presented at the Apr. 20, 2020 City Council meeting.
In the summer of 2020, the Administration restarted work on a number of projects that were initially paused due to the COVID-19 impacts and presented that update at the Aug. 11, 2020 City Council Study Session.
The final update in 2020 on the work plan and capital projects was provided at the Nov. 16, 2020 City Council Meeting.
In January 2021, the Administration provided the latest update on the work plan to the City Council as part of the City Council Retreat.
The Administration will continue to adjust and update this work plan. The next update to the City Council will likely occur in April 2021.
