Hosting Food Trucks in Your Neighborhood

Are you looking to host a food truck in your neighborhood during the COVID-19 pandemic? Here are checklists on what’s required.

All food trucks must acquire:

  • Business License from City of Issaquah
  • Food Business Permit from Public Health – Seattle & King County
  • A special event permit (one permit covers all residential areas during the emergency orders related to COVID-19). Go to MyBuildingPermit.com and select the option “Special Use or Event” to find the “Food Truck application.”

Trucks proposed in the City’s Right-of-Way (streets, parking spaces, sidewalks parks, etc.) are specifically governed under the City code, and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

To ensure safety during the COVID-19 pandemic, food trucks must also follow these guidelines related to food service. Please also ensure your neighbors take safety precautions – including maintaining physical distancing of six feet and wearing face coverings in public places – are also taken.
