- Temporary Certificate of Occupancy Fees
A temporary certificate of occupancy (TCO) grants residents and building owners all of the same rights as a certificate of occupancy, however it is only for a temporary period of time.
These are possible only when the Building Official determines that construction is substantially completed in the area to be occupied and that essential health, safety and environmental items have been adequately constructed or installed in compliance with the codes.
Fees for TCOs are based on the project type.
Single-family, duplex, tenant improvements and 3-unit townhouses would be eligible for a 60-day TCO for $525 with a 60-day renewal at the same cost.
Commercial and multi-family projects would be eligible for a 180-day TCO for $3,675 and an additional 180 days for a $787.50 renewal fee.
