South SPAR Booster Pump Station

SPAR Pump station trail

Overview

The City of Issaquah Public Works Department is constructing a drinking water booster pump station and approximately 8,000 linear feet of water-related water transmission lines.

This project will provide redundant facilities to move drinking water to the Issaquah Highlands, including Swedish Hospital, which serves as a critical care facility, as well as over 5,000 residents.

Timeframe

While originally slated for completion in 2023, City staff and crews were able to work ahead of schedule, and have almost completed this project.

The Issaquah-Preston is now fully open, and as a result of this construction, and areas have been repaved and had curbing installed. Restoration was done along the edges of the trail.

The South Spar Booster Pump Station is anticipated to be open and fully operational by the end of October 2022.
