Created in 2021, this board's role is to support and cultivate the voices of the diverse communities in Issaquah by advising the Mayor, City Council and City departments on the City’s plans, policies, regulations, and programs related to equity initiatives.
The Equity Board is comprised of nine regular members, with four-year terms; and three alternates, with two year terms. Initial terms of the board are staggered. All member are appointed by the Mayor and subject to confirmation by the City Council. Terms expire April 30 of the year listed. For more information, see IMC 2.94 and Rules & Regulations.
