My name is Ryan Davis and I was originally raised in the small town of Belgrade, Montana. Growing up in a rural area always gave me a sense of community, and so my desire for public service started at a very young age. I followed my call to service and enlisted in the Montana Army National Guard while I was in high school, and then transferred to the US Navy.
My military career brought me on two deployments where I traveled to a few countries and stayed at several duty stations around the US. However, none of those locations could compare to how I felt about Washington State, especially Issaquah.
My first visit to Issaquah was on my way to rock climb, one of my many outdoor hobbies. I met my wife who was raised in Issaquah and we immediately decided to settle down in the area after I finished my military service.
My time with the Issaquah Police Department has shown to be one of the most exciting and meaningful career positions in which I have ever worked. I get that same sense of community in Issaquah that I had growing up in Belgrade, and I can genuinely tell that my fellow officers care about the community. I am proud to be on a team with such dedicated professionals and look forward to my career ahead in Issaquah.
