Issaquah Parks & Community Services is committed to offering youth basketball as an outlet for healthy recreation, socialization and development for our participants.
We are excited to announce our plans to run a modified youth basketball program, starting Jan. 9.
Currently, for youth basketball to run this winter, King County will need to meet the standards for “Moderate Level COVID Activity,” as noted by the guidelines for “Sporting Activity” released by state officials. While King County is currently at the High Level, we are organizing our program in hopes of reaching the Moderate Level by January.
Signing up for the program will help ensure your player’s spot in the league and will help staff organize program details. The registration deadline is Dec. 4.
After the deadline you will have the option to pay the league fee and officially register for the youth basketball league or withdraw from the program. Staff will send more information regarding registration, payment, and team formation this fall as we continue to follow COVID-19 guidelines for health and safety. Those registering after the deadline will need to pay a late registration fee.
Leagues will initially be offered for boys and girls in Kindergarten – 5th Grade. We will continue to evaluate programs for middle and high school players and hope to serve these age groups this winter.
