    Evolution of Organic brings us the story of organic agriculture, told by those who built the movement. A motley crew of back-to-the-landers, spiritual seekers and farmers’ sons and daughters reject chemical farming and set out to explore organic alternatives. It’s a heartfelt journey of change from a small band of rebels to a cultural transformation in the way we grow and eat food. By now organic has gone mainstream – split into an industry oriented toward bringing organic to all people, and a movement that has realized a vision of sustainable agriculture.

  2. Regional Business Summit

    April 25, 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM @ The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge

    The Greater Issaquah Chamber will host the first Eastside Regional Business Summit on April 25, 2019. This one-day event will bring together experts to inform and engage business owners, managers and CEOs on a range of issues impacting our region. Business professionals won't want to miss the opportunity to: -Engage with presenters, share ideas, and walk away with tools and solutions to support future growth and success. -Learn best practices from leaders in various industries on topics such as affordable housing, workforce hiring strategies, retention, labor laws, cyber security and recently proposed B&O tax increase. -Attend a panel of transit agency officials and other transportation experts from the region, who will take questions and address key concerns relating to mobility issues in the area. Registration fee includes lunch - $55 early registration ends on March 15th.

    The Spring Book Sale features thousands of books (hardcover, paperback, on CD and audiotape), collectibles, children’s books and movies. Book sale proceeds support library programming for all ages throughout the year. The book sale continues April 28.

  4. Walk'n Wag

    April 28, 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM @ Lake Sammamish State Park

    Dog owners and friends of dogs are invited to the 3rd Annual Walk’n Wag at Lake Sammamish State Park for the biggest, most entertaining pet centric event on the east side! Come out early for the 3K dog walk. Beginning at noon, participate in obedience training courses and visit doggie village to pick up swag and to check out lots of pet focused services and products. Walkers without dogs are welcome to visit Doggie Village! A King County Police dog will join us with his handler for a demonstration followed by a judged pet show. Categories include best dressed, smallest dog, best eyes, dog/owner look alike, best voice and best trick. Drop by a pet friendly beer garden featuring Dru Bru! 99.7 The Bull will emcee the event. Stay for some live music and socializing with pet owners. A professional photographer will be on site. For $20 (cash only), you can have a beautiful portrait with your dog.
