State legislature, judicial candidates to face off in Issaquah forum
Candidates for state representative in the 5th and 41st districts will answer question from the community in a forum hosted by Kiwanis Club of Issaquah, and the Issaquah branch of AAUW. The two candidates for Northeast District Court Judge will also answer questions 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12 in the City Council Chambers, 135 W. Sunset Way.
The forum is open to the public.
The forum will feature opposed candidates answering a series of questions. The candidates will then have an opportunity to ask their opponent the last question of the forum.
Candidates for the 41st Legislative District will face off at 6 p.m., followed by 5th District candidates at 6:45 p.m. Judicial candidates will meet the moderators at 7:30.
The forum will be moderated by Judy Rogers and Nina Milligan.
The forum will be repeated daily on Issaquah’s Channel 21 until the Nov. 8 general election and will be available on the city’s YouTube channel to help voters make informed decisions.
