Final Day: Downtown Issaquah Story Stroll
Thursday, November 30, 2023
This year the StoryStroll, hosted by KCLS – Issaquah Library, Friends of the Issaquah Library and The Downtown Issaquah Association, features “We Came to America” written by Faith Ringgold. Check out downtown business windows for the next chapter in our StoryStroll with the book "We Came to America."
Vividly expressed in Faith Ringgold’s sumptuous colors and patterns, "We Came to America" is an ode to every American who came before us, and a tribute to each child who will carry its proud message of diversity into our nation’s future. America is a country rich in diversity -- From the Native Americans who first called this land their home, to the millions of people who have flocked to its shores ever since.?
The StoryStroll starts at the Issaquah Library and heads north on Front Street. The Story Stroll is a creative way for children and adults to enjoy reading while spending time outdoors. The stroll is self-guided and open to the public at anytime and about .6miles on flat terrain (stroller friendly) and takes about 30 minutes.
