Public Hearing - Development and Design Standards Amendments

The purpose of the hearing is to take public testimony on the proposed Central Issaquah Development and Design Standards amendments which are in response to the moratorium work plan item on parking. This item will answer two questions: 1) Are the current parking standards in Central Issaquah appropriate for anticipated development? 2) Should the City use a structured parking requirement to a) ensure the land in Central Issaquah is more efficiently utilized; and, b) discourage the continuation of single-story, surfaced parked suburban development? The result may be amendments to the following:
1. Chapter 8.0, Parking – Development Standards
2. Chapter 15.0, Parking – Design Standards
These proposed amendments may change as a result of the public review process.
Comments may be provided at the hearing, or submitted in advance to DSD@issaquahwa.gov or the Development Services Department, PO Box 1307, Issaquah WA 98027.
