Bingo Fun(d) for Families
Thursday, September 17, 2020
Comedian Pat Cashman will emcee an evening of virtual bingo planned for 7-8:30 p.m. Sept. 17, with all proceeds benefitting Issaquah Community Services’ rent relief program.
Cashman is best known for his long-running local comedy show, Almost Live!, with co-star John Keister. Cashman also has a long history as a Seattle radio announcer.
Bingo Fun(d) for Families is hosted by the 91-year-old Kiwanis Club of Issaquah. In a July bingo night, Kiwanis raised nearly $2,000 for the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank.
Issaquah Community Services (ICS) has been providing emergency assistance — primarily rent and utilities — to families in need for 40 years. ICS depends on donations and its volunteers to operate. During the COVID-19 pandemic and high unemployment, the need has never been greater.
Bingo cards are $10 each and can be used for each of the six games. You can purchase multiple cards so the entire family can play along via Zoom. Cards must be purchased before Sept. 15, although donations to ICS are welcome through the game night. Donations go directly to ICS and are 100% tax deductible.
Winners will get bragging rights! Due to limits on online gaming, no prizes can be awarded.
