[ARCHIVED] - History Museums Bring Past to Life at Free Event -

Experience scenes from our past as the Issaquah History Museums hosts a free, all-ages community event.

The Suitcases Project will bring together actors and musicians at the Issaquah Depot Museum and the Issaquah Valley Trolley. Visitors will be able to:

• Observe railroad workers and passengers at the depot

• Meet orphans just arriving via train from back East

• Buy a 1-cent penny rag for news, puzzles and cartoons

• Listen to hobos tell tales, and look for their secret language of signs

The Suitcases Project will run continuously from 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Aug. 16-17, 2014, at the Issaquah Depot Museum, 78 First Ave. N.E.

The event is made possible by 4Culture's Historic Site Specific Program and sustaining funds from the City of Issaquah.
