[ARCHIVED] Volunteer: Give Back to the Trails You Hike

Give back to those trails you hike!

Join King County Parks and Washington Trails Association this fall to help build and repair King County's backcountry trails. Learn to retread a trail, build a turnpike or solve drainage problems.

Volunteer events are held Tuesdays through Saturdays, 8:30 a.m.- 2:30 p.m. Volunteering requires hiking to the site, and typically includes six to 12 volunteers, with a limit of 20 people per group.

To register, visit wta.org or call 206-965-8561. Volunteers are needed for the following dates and locations:

Cougar-Squak Corridor (near Issaquah)

• Oct. 17-18

• Nov. 4-8

• Nov. 18-22

• Dec. 9-13

• Dec. 16-20

• Dec. 23-27

• Dec. 30-31

Grand Ridge (near Issaquah)

• Oct. 14-16

• Dec. 9-13

Taylor Mountain Forest (between Issaquah and Maple Valley)

• Nov. 25-29

• Dec. 2-6
