Costco Wholesale’s international headquarters can grow in Central Issaquah thanks to a new agreement with the City.
In a unanimous decision Oct. 13, 2014, the Issaquah City Council approved a development agreement to allow the Fortune 500 company to grow its campus in the years ahead, and partner with the City to construct a number of street improvements.
Costco, which has called Issaquah home since 1994, is based in the Pickering Place mixed-used development. Its current office space covers 700,000 square feet.
Under the agreement between Costco and the City, the nation's second-largest retailer is allowed to add up to 1.5 million square feet to its campus.
