Eastside Fire & Rescue is seeking the next generation of volunteer firefighters.
To be eligible for consideration, you must live within 5 road miles of an EFR station and meet other minimum qualifications.
After initial training, volunteers are required to attend weekly training sessions, and assist in emergency and non-emergency response when requested and/or available.
The deadline to apply is June 15, 2015. To learn more and to find application instructions, visit eastsidefire-rescue.org.
Currently, there are almost 70 volunteers in the EFR system, which manages five all-volunteer and nine career-staffed stations.
In addition to the City of Issaquah, EFR members include the cities of North Bend and Sammamish, and King County fire protection districts 10 and 38.
