Volunteer to Keep Issaquah Beautiful.
Join the Downtown Issaquah Association to maintain our vibrant community for Keep Issaquah Beautiful Day.
The event will be from 9 a.m.-noon April 25, 2015. Volunteers are needed to spend a couple of hours making a difference in our community. If you can pick up litter, push a broom, swing a shovel or plant flowers, your help is needed.
Flexible schedules are available, as well as jobs for all ages and abilities. Students can earn community service hours by volunteering.
Volunteers should meet at the historic Hailstone Feed Store, 232 Front St. N., to check in. Teams will then concentrate on historic downtown, Northwest Gilman Boulevard, State Route 900, Newport Way Northwest and areas north of Interstate 90.
Contact Karen Donovan via email or at 425-391-1112 to sign up yourself or your group. Please provide number of people, age group, hours available and location preference if you have one.
In addition, Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park will host a cleanup event the side of Northwest Sammamish Road adjacent to the park starting at 9 a.m. April 25. Volunteers will receive coffee, donuts, tools, vests and instructions.
To participate, email Dan McCrumb or call 425-998-8756.
