A section of East Lake Sammamish Parkway in Sammamish is closed due to a gas leak.
East Lake Sammamish Parkway north of Inglewood Hill Road is closed until further notice. The closure could affect traffic on the Issaquah portion of East Lake Sammamish Parkway.
Some homes near the gas leak are being evacuated. Puget Sound Energy crews are on the scene working to fix the leak. The leak is located near the parkway, just south of Sammamish's border with Redmond.
A private contractor working on new home construction inadvertently punctured a gas main near Northeast 49th Place.
