Registration is now open for Tools 4 School, a community effort to provide new backpacks and school supplies to Issaquah School District students.
Families interested in participating must register through the Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank.
Tools 4 School's annual event returns 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 22, 2015, at Eastridge Church, 24205 S.E. Issaquah-Fall City Road.
Students who attend the event can receive free dental screenings and haircuts. A complementary lunch will be provided to students and families. In addition, a range of human services agencies will provide attendees with information and referrals.
Tools 4 School is coordinated by the Issaquah Schools Foundation in close partnership with other nonprofits, service groups and churches, including the Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank, Issaquah Kiwanis Club, Rotary Club of Issaquah and Eastridge Church.
For community members and businesses interested in donating to the program, visit the Issaquah Schools Foundation, or mail a check to P.O. Box 835.
If you’re interested in volunteering, email Krista Holmes.
Donations of backpacks or supplies are also accepted at the Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank, 179 First Ave. S.E.
