Starting July 20, 2015, King County will close a portion of Southeast May Valley Road to repair damage caused by a 2014 landslide.
Drivers should prepare for traffic impacts in the City of Issaquah during the road closure, which is expected to continue until Sept. 1. A detour route map is available from King County.
The project area will be completely closed to drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians during construction.
To repair damage from a March 2014 landslide, King County will close May Valley Road between 223rd Avenue Southeast and 229th Drive Southeast south of Squak Mountain.
Crews will remove unstable soil from the site, build a retaining wall, rebuild the roadway and install new guardrails.
