[ARCHIVED] - Prescription Drug Take-Back: Safely Dispose of Medication -

Saving unused or expired medication is a bad idea that can lead to improper and illegal use.

There is a safe and responsible way, however, to dispose of old and leftover medicine that protects your family and our environment.

Issaquah police, in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration, will participate in National Drug Take-Back Day from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 26, 2015, at City Hall, 130 E. Sunset Way.

In addition, Issaquah residents can drop off their unused or expired medications anytime from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) at the police department.

Drop off the medication sealed in a clear zip-top plastic bag. Please do not bring vitamins or food products for disposal. Any personal information and the prescription number may be crossed out. Do not include needles or sharps of any kind in your medication drop-off.
