[ARCHIVED] - Plant Trees to Celebrate Arbor Day and Earth Day -

Join the City of Issaquah to plant trees on Saturday, April 20, in celebration of Arbor Day and Earth Day.

Volunteers are need to plant trees along Issaquah Creek and Pickering Trail. To participate, check in at the information booth near the Pickering Trail entrance between 9-11 a.m. Planting will take place from 11 a.m.-noon.

Dress appropriately for the weather, and bring a pair of gardening gloves to wear. Tools, water and snacks will be provided to volunteers.

In addition, the Issaquah Farmers Market opens for the season at Pickering Barn on Saturday, April 20.

The opening day includes an Earth Day celebration. Some participating organizations include Cascade Bicycle Club, Seattle Tilth, Issaquah Garden Club and the Master Gardeners.

Local exhibitors will be on site between 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Stop by and learn about an earth-friendly way of life!
