Thanks to everyone who participated in the Mayor's Month of Concern for the Hungry!
Month of Concern is a yearly campaign to restock the shelves of Eastside food banks in preparation for the cold weather.
Throughout our community, citizens donated a total of 18,882 pounds of food. In addition, City of Issaquah employees donated 116 pounds of food.
The entire campaign, across Issaquah and Sammamish, generated 26,562 pounds of donations—surpassing last year's donations by more than 2,500 pounds.
Mayor Fred Butler kicked off the month with the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank, volunteers and community members Sept. 12, 2015.
