Hillside movement was recently observed near Northwest Talus Drive and Shangri-La Way Northwest at Parcel 9.
The movement has now appeared to stop, and crews are continuing to monitor the situation, as there is no immediate safety concern.
All construction activities have stopped, except for work to monitor the site, ensure safety and collect data to determine next steps. This work could continue for the next several weeks.
Crews will be on site during the day for that work; night work is not expected.
The contractor installed a temporary buttress at the base of the hillside on Nov. 13.
Initial inspections and monitoring occurred over the weekend. Geotechnical engineers (from both the developer and the City of Issaquah) have been reviewing the site. They found no new movement since Nov. 13.
Some monitors for slope and groundwater were also installed over the weekend, with the rest being installed Nov. 16-17.
