[ARCHIVED] - Donate a Tree: Give a Gift to Mother Nature -

Give a gift to Mother Nature by donating your live, potted holiday tree.

Make your holiday celebration even greener with a live, potted tree. Starting in late December, you can drop your live tree off at our parks maintenance building, 525 First Ave. N.W.

Trees will then be planted in a City park or open space.

To prepare for the donation, move your tree back outdoors as soon as possible after the holiday. Give the tree several days to readjust to the outdoors before planting.

Live trees help reduce waste and post-holiday litter. Once planted, former holiday trees help improve our air quality, reduce stormwater runoff and provide wildlife habitat.
