[ARCHIVED] Lock It or Lose It: Keep Yourself and Your Valuables Safe

Remember to Lock It or Lose It to keep your home and vehicle secure.

Over the holiday weekend, Issaquah police received reports of seven vehicle prowls and a package theft in the Talus neighborhood.

Police remind residents that if you don’t lock your home or vehicle, you’re making it a potential target.

A few simple steps can help keep yourself and your valuable safe:

  • Keep doors and windows locked when you’re asleep or away from your home. Remember: Screens do not secure windows; only locking secures windows.
  • Always lock unattended vehicles.
  • Do not leave valuables in an unattended vehicle.
  • If that’s not possible, lock the materials in the trunk of the car, or place them out of clear view.

Report suspicious activity to police by calling our non-emergency line, 425-837-3200.
