Friends of Youth will host its "Understanding Teen Substance Abuse: A Guide to Navigation and Effective Parenting" program in Issaquah starting March 8, 2016.
The class is open to all parents and community members. Participants will learn more about the following topics:
- Understanding the neurophysical nature of substance abuse
- Impacted systems — understanding the condition as progressive and holistic
- Methods of family system compensation
- Envisioning hope and healing
The program will be held from 6-7 p.m. March 8, 15, 22 and 29.
The fee is $100 per attendee; RSVP is required. The program is available at no charge for families accessing care. Scholarships are also available; ask when you RSVP.
