[ARCHIVED] Youth Advisory Board Welcomes Teens, Tweens

Local teens and tweens interested in making an impact in Issaquah can join the Youth Advisory Board, a City of Issaquah-sponsored group created to foster youth leadership and service.

Current fifth- to 11th-graders are welcome to apply now for the 2013-14 Youth Advisory Board. Students can apply now for the board. The application deadline is May 3, 2013.

The board is comprised of representatives from each of the Issaquah School District's middle and high schools.

Students who are homeschooled or who attend private schools and reside within Issaquah School District boundaries are also welcome to apply.

Members’ terms last the length of the school year.

Past Youth Advisory Board projects include collecting food for the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank and hosting recreation programs.
