Drivers: Prepare for construction activity at Seventh Avenue Northwest and Northwest Gilman Boulevard as crews prepare for sidewalk and signal improvements.
The work is part of the Atlas apartment project located at Seventh Avenue and Northwest Boulevard.
In addition to improvements for both Seventh and Locust streets, crews will soon add a traffic signal at Seventh Avenue and Gilman Boulevard.
The project includes 344 apartments in three 5-story buildings above a single level of below-grade parking, as well as 100 surface parking stalls.
The project also adds flood protections through the site, and adds a public park and trails along Issaquah Creek.
Atlas is the first major project to implement the City's Central Issaquah Plan, which envisions an urban, pedestrian-friendly community.
