[ARCHIVED] - Learn to Create Bird-Friendly Communities -

Join Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park and Eastside Audubon to explore how to create and sustain Bird-Friendly Communities in your neighborhood and backyard.

The free Bird-Friendly Communities presentation is 7 p.m. June 13, 2016, at Blakely Hall, 2250 N.E. Park Drive. Refreshments will be provided.

Bird-Friendly Communities is a nationwide campaign to restore and protect wildlife habitat in order to maintain biodiversity for future generations.

Learn about simple steps you can take in your own backyard to create important bird habitat and how you can get involved in your community to promote Bird Friendly practices. Learn how to attract birds to your backyard, while making the community healthier for birds, and for people.

Speaker Callie Hall is the program coordinator for Eastside Audubon and is an environmental management graduate with a background in sustainability education, who works to encourage and educate the public on taking steps to conserve open spaces and protect the natural environment.
