[ARCHIVED] - You're Invited: ArtWalk Returns to Historic Downtown -

ArtWalk kicks off on July 8, 2016, for a 15th season!

The popular event, organized by the Downtown Issaquah Association, offers visitors a chance to meet local business owners, enjoy live music, watch artists in action, shop and dine in historic downtown Issaquah from 6-9 p.m.

Head to the artEAST Art Center, 95 Front St. N., for concept drawing, wheel throwing pottery, easel painting, oil painting demos, live acrylic painting in the front window and Jaipur printmaking.

Art by Fire, 195 Front St. N., will offer walk-in glassblowing to make ornaments, and professional artist-instructors from Museo Art Academy will be hosting a free art activity for kids and teens at Pedestrian Park, on the northeast corner of Front Street and Sunset Way across from the Issaquah Library.

Summer's second ArtWalk is Aug. 5. To learn more about ArtWalk activities, go to downtownissaquah.com.

ArtWalk draws hundreds of visitors into downtown Issaquah by placing artists into local businesses and on the streets. Venues include Art By Fire, artEAST Art Center, Centennial Park, Experience Tea, First Stage Theatre, Fischer Meats, Hailstone Feed Store, Issaquah Library, Music and Arts, Pedestrian Park, Revolve Consignment, The Studio, Village Theatre and Yum-E Yogurt.
