[ARCHIVED] Under Construction: Forest Heights

Overview
Crews are building 24 single-family homes on six acres located east of Talus. Another almost eight acres of land, located further east of the development, could also be developed in the future, but are not included in this current project.

New Forest Heights residents, who will join the Talus homeowners association, will access their homes through Talus, via the top of Northwest James Bush Road.

Beyond the entrance to Forest Heights, the road will still be gated to vehicles, and available for pedestrian use. The project includes enhancing the top of Northwest James Bush Road with a new retaining wall, as well as a sidewalk with curb and gutter.

The Talus trail system, which meanders onto the project site, will have access to the neighborhood sidewalk via a new trail extension.

Construction Impacts
Crews will only work onsite from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Mondays-Fridays, except when an afterhours or Saturday permit is issued for special circumstances.

A temporary gravel path is available for pedestrians between 854 and 866 Big Tree Drive Northwest to Northwest James Bush Road. The path down Northwest James Bush Road to Newport Way Northwest will be maintained.

During construction, the contractor is required to use Northeast James Bush Road.

Timeline
Work on the roadway will take place in July, before home and utility construction begins. This is subject to change, depending on the developer's progress.
