Prepare for construction noise and a temporary change in water supply as water main work takes place the night of July 5, 2016.
Crews have been and will complete the water main connection work on Newport Way Northwest, near the intersection of Northwest Pacific Elm Drive (west) from 7 p.m.-5 a.m. During this time, you may hear trucks, pipe saws, generators and other equipment.
This work is scheduled to take place at night due to nature of the work involved. Crews will perform as much of the effort as possible during daytime hours, and will make an effort to minimize the night work lighting and noise.
A temporary water system supply will be provided for your neighborhood. While we expect there will be adequate water availability, you may experience lower-than-normal water pressure. Please help us by conserving water during the time between 3 p.m. Tuesday and 5 a.m. Wednesday.
Although it’s unlikely, air may also enter the water system and cause some cloudiness. This will not affect water quality.
We are also partnering with Eastside Fire & Rescue to ensure adequate water is available in case of a fire emergency.
During this work, the westerly intersection of along Northwest Pacific Elm Drive and Newport Way Northwest will be closed as crews work on this effort. The easterly intersection and entrance/exit to the neighborhood will remain open.
Thank you for your patience while this work is performed. If you have any questions, please call Doug Schlepp at 425-837-3432. During the evening hours, please call the inspector, Liberty Cone, at 425-516-3562 and, if necessary, the Issaquah Police Department at 425-837-3200.
