September is National Preparedness Month.

Take action now — make a plan with your community, your family and for your pets. Plan ahead so you can stay safe and communicate during the disasters.

We work with our community to prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters. National Preparedness Month is a great opportunity to familiarize yourself with available resources:

Registration is now open for Community Emergency Response Team, or CERT, training.
Map Your Neighborhood and help your community prepare for disasters.
Participate in America's PrepareAthon! — a grassroots campaign for action to increase community preparedness and resilience.
