[ARCHIVED] You're Invited: artEAST Exhibitions

You're invited as artEAST starts off the new year with three free exhibitions.

"The 39 Steps"

artEAST partners with Village Theatre to pay tribute to Alfred Hitchcock's masterpiece spy film, "The 39 Steps."

Adapted for the stage, "The 39 Steps" includes an exciting chase, murder, romance and missing fingers.

artEAST brings together the visual arts responding to performance arts for a special open juried exhibition.

Artwork is on display at both Village Theatre, 303 Front St. N., and the artEAST Art Center, 95 Front St. N., through March 5, 2017.

"Dorothy Bonneau Retrospective"

artEAST pays tribute to the life and artwork of Dorothy Bonneau, a remarkable artist with an extensive body of work in many mediums.

Bonneau had a strong background in portraiture, which gave personality to her subjects, such as the chickens and barnyard animals that became signature work for her at artEAST.  She won awards for her landscape work, and her paintings were sought after throughout the Northwest.

Artwork is on display at Blakely Hall, 2550 N.E. Park Drive, from Jan. 24-April 4.

"Anything Goes — Within Reason"

The juried exhibition invited artEAST members to submit two-dimensional artwork for consideration. The subject matter was left wide open, to attract a broad range of material from some of our best established and emerging artists.

Artwork is on display at Blakely Hall, 2550 N.E. Park Drive, through Jan. 23.

The exhibitions are sponsored by the City of Issaquah Arts Commission.
