[ARCHIVED] - Count Us In: Addressing Homelessness in Our Region -

To help address homelessness throughout our region, Issaquah recently participated in Count Us In.

All Home King County coordinated the annual count of people living unsheltered, living in shelter or transitional housing, a qualitative survey of people experiencing homelessness across King County, and specialized approaches to counting subpopulations, such as youth/young adults and families.

The count provided important information for the City of Issaquah, regional, state and federal agencies, as well as our community partners.

In addition, Count Us In is critical for strategic, program and policy planning conducted by our regional continuum of care.

A successful and accurate count is an essential component to informing our system response to the need in our community, and to ultimately making homelessness rare, brief and one-time.

Count Us In occurred during the early hours of Jan. 27, 2017. To learn more about Count Us In and All Home King County, go to allhomekc.org.
