We're establishing a Senior Center Advisory Group to guide operation of the Issaquah Senior Center.
The group will advise and provide feedback to us in two main areas:
- Day-to-day operations of the Senior Center — This will likely include providing input on programs, giving feedback on customer service and sharing thoughts on resources at the facility.
- Assist in determining the long-term operating model of the Senior Center — This will include discussion of community needs and desires for the services that are provided.
In 2017, our Parks & Recreation Department is serving as the interim operator of the Senior Center.
The advisory group has a limited term and will serve its role during this current interim phase of operation, which is anticipated to be one year.
The advisory group is one of many ways we're engaging with seniors in our community. Apply now!
- Ten to 12 members will be selected, and will represent a cross-section of our community.
- Applicants who best demonstrate a desire to act in the best interests of, and with the intent to benefit the entire senior community in the Issaquah area, will be selected to serve.
- City residency is not required, but residents will likely comprise a majority of members.
