Work is underway to add a pedestrian bridge spanning Issaquah Creek to Confluence Park.
Starting the week of Feb. 27, 2017, a crane will arrive onsite to lift the bridge into place. Please note: The construction schedule is subject to change due to weather.
Using a grant and voter-approved park bond funds, as well as other City funds, we will add new amenities throughout the park, including:
- A pedestrian bridge over the main stem of Issaquah Creek, connecting Margaret's Meadow with Tollë Anderson Homestead and Cybil-Madeline Green
- A parking area at Margaret's Meadow
- A playground with exciting new features
- Soft-surface pedestrian trails
- A confluence overlook area
The entire project will be complete by late spring. We will work with our contractor to minimize noise and traffic impacts to the surrounding neighborhood.
Confluence Park, 595 Rainier Blvd. N., encompasses 15.5 acres and is comprised of three contiguous parks: Tollë Anderson Homestead, Cybil-Madeline Green and Margaret's Meadow.
The proposed timber arch bridge design featuring elements inspired by mayfly wings, and a playground featuring a natural climbing structure and a palisades boulder, were chosen by residents and park users.
