Learn more – and share your input – on the proposed Windward/Bergsma development at 6:30 p.m. April 19 during a Development Commission public hearing at City Hall South, 135 E. Sunset Way.
The applicant - Windward Real Estate Services – proposes clustering 78 single-family lots on 45.64 acres along Newport Way Northwest near state Route 900, which would then preserve two-thirds of the developable land (per current zoning). This clustering would require a development agreement with the City.
In addition, the applicant proposes building a new road from Bear Ridge Court Northwest (near Harvey Manning Park) to Newport Way Northwest, which would offer another route in and out of this new neighborhood, as well as another access point for Talus.
During the Development Commission meeting, City staff and the applicant will present information on both the proposed development agreement and the proposed road connection. Public comment will also be heard on each topic, followed by discussion by commission members.
Once the Development Commission votes on both issues, which could take place April 19, those recommendations would then be forwarded to the City Council for further review and consideration.
Written comments may also be submitted before and during the public hearing. Prior to the hearing, please submit your comments to Development Services Department, P.O. Box 1307, Issaquah, WA 98027, or email Christopher Wright.
The City will also air the meeting live online.
