[ARCHIVED] Election 2017: Candidate Filing Starts May 15

Residents interested in running for public office can soon file as candidates with King County Elections.

Online candidate filing is available 24 hours a day starting at 9 a.m. May 15, 2017, and ending at 4 p.m. May 19.

If you're interested in learning more about running for office, King County Elections offers candidate resources.

City of Issaquah Offices
In Issaquah, the following nonpartisan City offices will be up for election in 2017:

  • Mayor
  • City Council Position No. 1
  • City Council Position No. 2 (unexpired two-year term)
  • City Council Position No. 3
  • City Council Position No. 5
  • City Council Position No. 7

Candidates must be registered voters at the time of filing and Issaquah residents for at least one year on Election Day.
