To reduce congestion at trailheads, improve access to popular parks, and eliminate unsafe and illegal parking, King County Parks is working with King County Metro Transit to explore new ways to access trailheads along the Interstate 90 corridor and reduce the use of personal vehicles.
The agencies heard from community members last fall that transportation to — and congestion at — local trailheads is a challenge. Now, based in part on the input of a stakeholder group, King County Parks and Metro developed three tailor-made service ideas to help make it easier to access trailheads safely and easily.
