Pedestrians should prepare for detours and closures on the boardwalks adjacent to State Route 900 as the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) conducts repairs.
WSDOT is repairing sections of boardwalk between Newport Way Northwest and Interstate 90. Most work will occur between 7:30 a.m.-5:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday, and should last about a month.
Sections of boardwalk will be closed and boardwalk users will be detoured around the construction area.
On sections where no detour is available, work will be done between 8 p.m.-5 a.m. to minimize the impact to boardwalk users.
Because WSDOT is only replacing boards, and because the project is within WSDOT’s right-of-way, the project did not require a permit from the City of Issaquah.
