[ARCHIVED] - Survey: Court Lauded for Fairness, Customer Service -

Issaquah Municipal Court recently received high ratings for fairness and customer service, according to a survey of its customers.

Conducted in late 2016, the survey asked 230 customers a series of questions about their experiences with the court.

Among respondents, 91 percent felt the judge listed to their side of the story before making any decisions in the case, and 93 percent felt they were treated the same as everyone else.

Overall, 96 percent of respondents said they were treated with courtesy and respect by the court staff.

Survey participants included defendants, individuals who received traffic infractions or photo enforcement tickets, as well as attorneys and other court visitors. Surveys were also mailed to individuals who opted to have hearings by mail for their infraction or photo citations.

Issaquah Municipal Court, which serves residents in Issaquah, North Bend and Snoqualmie, presides over all criminal misdemeanors and gross misdemeanors, as well as traffic, non-traffic and parking infractions.
